Cubed stewing beef (I cut it even smaller for bite-sized chunks)

Heat the oil in a pan and brown the salt & pepper seasoned beef.
With a slotted spoon, take out the beef and add to slow-cooker and set to low.
Add beef stock, water, bay leaves and tomato paste to the pan with the beef drippings and cook down for approximately ten minutes.
Add the sauce to the slow-cooker.
Peel your pearl onions (not fun) and chop your garlic and vegetables.
Add all vegetables and garlic to slow-cooker and cook for 4-6 hours.
